Background

About Dr. Parul Cedilnik

 

Born in Delhi, India, Dr. Cedilnik has worked for more than 25 years in Germany, the USA, and India.

 

Dr. Cedilnik currently works as Lead Clinical Psychologist at Applied Psychology Services, in Böblingen, Germany. Her current certification is that of Clinical Psychologist, Child Psychologist, Diplom Psychologin mit Heilpraktikerin Erlaubnis für Psychotherapie, as per German system. 

 

In the year 2006, her work as a psychologist was appreciated by the Then-President of India, Dr. APJ Kalam. Later in the year 2008, for her research work and services for children with disabilities, her name was included in the directory by Marquis, Who-is-Who in America, 2008 edition.

 

She started her professional career in 1998, after completing 5 years of university education in Clinical Psychology (from the University of Delhi, India).

From 1998 until 2006, her areas of work included neuro-cognitive-psychological rehabilitation of children and adults with developmental and psychological problems. She also worked in the field of clinical psychology dealing with adults with psychological problems. Simultaneously she worked as a consultant to some industries where her role was to do personality assessment at the time of recruitment and to provide support for individuals who needed some personality development, such as better leadership skills, stress management skills, persuasive skills, etc. She also taught some courses in Mental Retardation, Rehabilitation, and General Psychology in various private and government institutes in Delhi, India on a part-time basis.

 

During the summer of 2006, she moved to the United States and worked primarily in the area of school and educational psychology. For almost six years, she worked for several districts in South Carolina and Phoenix, Arizona. During this time, other than providing direct services to the children and parents, she also did some research work with renowned professors at the University of Coastal Carolina, USA.

 

During all these years, she continued further studies and training through part-time and online modes to advance her skills and knowledge.

 

In 2012, after getting married to a German physicist, she moved to South Germany and founded her clinical practice, ‘Applied Psychology Services’, with an aim to provide comprehensive and quality services to English-speaking people in the region. She and her team of other Clinical Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists, work with complete dedication and cater to English-speaking people in Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, and other neighboring countries.
